Inject's design legacy

From culinary establishments to iconic kiwi bands and artisan chocolate, Inject Design is a staple in the Wellington design landscape. Known for their works of web art, beautiful branding and intricate illustration work, Inject has a significant portfolio of work created for well-known Wellington institutions.

It’s an agency that has grown bit by bit with a constant focus on refinement and properly laid foundations. They’ve evolved at their own pace creating iconic imagery recognised around the world.

What sets them apart from other Wellington design agencies? They have strong ideals for only working on projects that appeal creatively and morally, projects that ensure they are consistently innovating, creating inspiring work and taking imagination to the next level. This passion can be seen in every piece of work created.

Born out of a time where getting a foot in the door was just as hard as ever, Inject was founded by designer Harry A’Court. He set to work in 2002 creating beautiful design works for the Wellington hospo scene including the original animated Matterhorn website.

In true Wellington fashion, the business developed from there with Inject’s name being passed from one Wellington business to the next. Word of mouth and two degrees of separation saw the development of many brands, many of who are still long standing clients of Inject.

Now the team consists of some of New Zealand’s best designers, developers, illustrators and typographers with Harry A’Court and Dallan Warnes at the helm. They’re a well-oiled machine that can do just about anything with a brand and don’t even get them started on their love of type.

If you scroll through Inject’s website, you’ll see a big mix of work. From Creative HQ to Dr Morse Tattoo, the Inject team have certainly worked with a diverse range of clients. However, one of their most iconic pieces of brand work is most definitely the Hell Pizzabranding. Inject and Hell have a 10 year history after becoming next door neighbours in the early stages of both businesses. The internationally recognised brand includes Inject’s genius coffin shaped pizza boxes and augmented reality pizza box app.

Other outstanding Inject work includes the new video website for Scopa and their beautiful blackbird branding for Fat Freddy’s Drop, for which they won themselves a Tui award for ‘Album Cover Of The Year’ at the NZ Music Awards.

But what they love most of all is taking a new brand from concept to reality. Nothing shows this more than the love and attention they put into the development of the Wellington Chocolate Factory. Inject jumped at the chance to create something unique and memorable for the bean to bar brand. We’re sure the thought of a sweet chocolate stash didn’t even cross their minds.

Their new Bowen Eye Clinic branding is fantastically put together and shows beautifully designed, visually stunning imagery paired with a professional, elegant logo and colour palette.

Most recently Inject have been involved in the brand creation of Food Forest Organics and Cameron Family Farms in Greytown. The clever Food Forest Organics logo shows off the Wairarapa mountains whilst incorporating the CFF for Cameron Family Farms.

The first half of 2015 has been pretty jam packed for the talented team and it doesn’t show signs of stopping anytime soon. The rest of the year will be dedicated to a range of top secret projects for a serious mix of people including themselves, more for Cameron Family Farms and Shapers Inc.

To follow Inject’s incredible work, head over to their website and show them the love on Facebook.
