Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Dallas Tamaira is a renowned musician with roots in Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Pākehā heritage. He began his artistic journey in Kaikōura and gained fame as the frontman of the iconic New Zealand group Fat Freddy's Drop.
Dallas has a rich, 30-year career in the arts. He started with the Pacific Underground Collective and later formed Fat Freddy's Drop with DJ Chris Faiumu, aka Mu.
Amidst the pandemic, Dallas embarked on a solo project, collaborating with producer Devin Abrams.
They've released three successful singles and his first solo EP in over 20 years, 'Levels.' This fresh body of work showcases Dallas's versatility as an artist and marks an exciting new chapter in his career.
With a passion for gaming, Dallas's brand features an 8-bit aesthetic, a nod to his love of video games. This unique visual dimension adds an extra layer of creativity to his artistic journey.
